ASPEN Real Estate CIPS Course 2012

Dates & Course Information

Stage 1: Local Markets – Tuesday 17th January 2012 from 8am to 5pm.  (must be completed first)

Global Real Estate: “Local Markets” is the first of five international courses developed by Global Business and Alliances of the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® (NAR). This course is designed to introduce real estate professionals to the basic skills and knowledge necessary to facilitate international real estate transactions. This is the prerequisite course required to earn the Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS) designation.

The course is designed to benefit experienced international professionals, individuals with real estate experience who are considering international specialization, and NAR general membership.

Stage 2: Transaction Tools – Wednesday 18th January 2012 from 8am to 5pm.

This course provides the tools and concepts real estate professionals need to serve clients and customers in the global real estate market. Students learn how to research markets, convert metric measures, monitor currency trends, alert clients to tax and visa matters, and follow a process for compiling transaction information.

This course provides you with the tools needed to present investment information to international clients—in their currency and area. You will learn how to measure investment performance, prepare financial projections, and understand the effects of taxes and exchange rates on investment. 7 CE Credits.

Certified International Property Specialist Courses Offered at NMDRA

The Certified International Property Specialist(CIPS) Designation is the only designation of its kind in the real estate community. It’s synonymous with advanced expertise, a global perspective and distinct understanding of a global buyer, and comes with powerful brand recognition with designees in nearly 40 countries.

November 11, 12, 13, 15, 16. Price for non-CIPS attendees is $575 for the 5 classes.  These courses usually are approximately $1400. NAR is not charging royalties this year – but that ends December 31, 2010.

If you are a CIPS – you can register for the classes at $50.00 per class. Many of the classes have been updated – great refresher with a great price!
